A Library Mystery

Something strange is going on in the children's department.

Ms. Alyssa and Cassie have had a human device called a "tape measure" out almost everyday for the past week. As its name implies, they use this to measure things. But why would they need to measure things?

They have also been using words like, "bench," "price quote," "rug," "delivery," and "orange" a lot. I've also heard the phrase, "We'll move this...." a lot as well. (But it had better not be in reference to moving me!)

Friends, can you help me figure out what's going on? We will need to be stealthy with our investigation. The humans can be tricksy like Hobbits sometimes....

Love and carrots,
Morgan

  1. The "bench" reference may be one of those fancy bench-press fruit squeezers, perhaps to squeeze "oranges" to make you some fresh OJ. "Rug" probably means that one of the library's male volunteers is getting a hairpiece. Those can be quite expensive, to which the "price quote" may refer. "Delivery" could concern co-workers giving speeches in a program or event, and they need to work on their public speaking voices. "We'll move this ..." usually means that some staffer is getting moved around somewhere. Not you, however! You need to be in a prime "public eye" location at all times so your adoring fans can come see you.

Hope I was able to help.
