Six More Weeks of Winter

Today is Groundhog's Day and Punxatawny Phil saw his shadow. This means we will have six more weeks of winter! But it doesn't seem like we've really had a winter. There's been no snow (or so the mommies tell me) and it hasn't been that cold. Could winter be on the way?

Mommy Krista thought she would be funny and asked me if I saw my shadow this morning. Not amused....

Construction!!!

Looks like I need to find my hardhat and fast. On Sunday, January 15th, the children's department is going to be closed for a small remodel! The rest of the library will still be open for use and Cassie will be upstairs with a collection of children's books for browsing. If you need anything specific from the children's department, please ask a staff member and they will go get it for you!

We'll be closed Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day but when you come back Tuesday, it will be a brand new children's space!!!

New Year, New Schedule!

Hello friends! Some of your favorite children's programs happen on a new day and time.

Baby Time (ages birth to 1 year)- Tuesdays at 10:30am
Toddler Time (ages 1 to 2 years)- Fridays at 10:30am
Story Time (ages 3 to 5 years)- Thursdays at 10:30am

Are You Ready?

The Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest is all day Thursday. Are you ready? Even if you don't participate, I think it would be worth stopping by the library that day to see everyone in their...um...finery.....

Christmas Sweaters?

The library mommies and aunites are in a tizzy. Next Thursday, December 22, is our First Annual Ugly Sweater Contest and they are all trying to prepare for the event. Staff and patrons are encouraged to come to the library that day to show off their ugliest Christmas sweater, either one they've purchased (Born Ugly) or one they've created (Made Ugly). They are even encouraging ME to enter.

Cover up this gorgeous fur? I don't think so!

Disappointing Dinner

Sigh...they got the wrong type of parsley at the grocery. They got Italian flat-leaf parsley and I only eat curly parsley. I shall starve.
